The project capitalized on the distance learning and immediate commenced on the installtion of underground gas line that followed the fire lane around the school.  The connection to the gas company is currently in process.   Installation of the underground utilities continued with the storm drain, sewer, and fire line extension to the new pool site being completed.  The shoring required for the southern most building began with soldier piles in progress.

MPR: Hand digging for new electrical pathways was has progressed well this month. Wire was released and ordered. Restroom Underground plumbing was installed. 

Bldg. J: Pony wall framing and backing was completed. Electrical and Plumbing rough-in is completed. Drywall installation is complete at level 1 and progressing up at level 2. Classroom casework deliveries began at the end of the month. Parking lot area outside the existing trailers is graded and light pole bases were poured.

MPR:  Completed new underground electrical pathways and conduit installation. Grading activities resumed. Underground waste and electrical lines were installed. Slab on grade concrete was poured this month.

The required power shutdown occurred for the replacement of new electrical equipment occurred this month and the removal of the existing wall in the restroom was also completed, required to modify the restrooms.

MPR: The scaffold erection was completed. Paralams were installed, AC -13 was removed and the curb for new unit was installed. Wall framing occurred and restroom overhead was completed.

Bldg. J: Lab Casework installation occurred. The classroom ceiling lights were terminated and ceiling tiles were dropped. 

Site: Asphalt slurry coat and striping was installed at the East parking lot, Phase 1. Trailer relocation occurred. Phase 1 of Parking lot was turned over to the campus on 1/15/21 for use.

MPR: The roofing patch required for the new HVAC units occurred and the the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection continued at the high ceiling. At the mail level, the tile patch to accommodate the new ADA requirements in the restroom was completed on the walls and floor allowing for the start of the epoxy coating. 

Bldg. J: Completed epoxy counter tops at the labs and work throug the finish coat of paint.  The polished concrete floors progressed this month.  The specialties were installed to include the signage, toilet partitions and accessories allowing for final clean to be completed.  Out in the parking lot the paving for this current phase was completed and striped allowing for the opening up of additional parking spaces in the East lot.

The grading is complete for the concrete sidewalk at the West side of the site. The building footings and the elevator pit excavation were complete this month, as well as the installation of the elevator piston sleeve.  The rebar and anchor bolts have been installed and forms have been set in preparation for the concrete pour. At the South West corner of the site, irrigation valve boxes and wire boxes have been relocated in preparation for the walk path extension.

The elevator pit walls were formed, poured, water proofed and back filled. Building Slab on Grade and wall curbs were poured. The first floor wood framing has begun. Columns, walls, and I-joists, are being installed. Concrete Masonry Units at the exterior columns also began this month. Fire Sprinklers and HVAC layout was coordinated to begin blocking.

The first-floor framing was completed, and all framing hardware was installed. Second floor I-joist and sheeting were installed, and second floor framing has begun. CMU columns were completed and grouted. First floor Plumbing rough in has begun and will continue into next month. Decorative fencing has begun at retaining wall on the West side of the project.

Roof joists were set, and the roof was sheeted this month despite the rain days that impacted the schedule. Parapet walls have been framed and all exterior soffits have been framed. Framer is installing the last of the Level 2 roof hardware. 1st floor and 2nd floor rough in fire sprinkler and plumbing was completed. Electrical rough in ongoing and the main feeders were pulled into the building. The electrical tie into the campus for the new building was completed during the break. The Northwest bus loading zone was turned over to the district and the Southwest walkway is ongoing.

The southwest bus loading zone hard scape was completed and partial turned over to the owner for use. The north handrails and guardrails were completed and installed. The exterior shear wall was completed. The HVAC curbs and units were installed, and the roofing commenced this month. The level 2 classroom concrete was completed, and level 2 mechanical, electrical and plumbing rough in was completed and signed off. The lath and plaster are currently being installed along with the interior drywall.

On the interior of the building doors, glass, and hardware were installed to allow for the interior finishes to be installed. This included architectural casework, fire extinguisher cabinets, and T-bar. Also, this month on the interior flooring prep begun and power and lighting controls was completed. For the exterior of the building the exterior stucco was completed, and the scaffold was removed to allowing for the site work to begin. This includes site concrete, fencing, and site guardrails.

The interior finishes were competed this month including white boards, tack boards, projector mounts, flooring, AV systems and HVAC startup was completed. On the exterior of the building paint, signage, and all exterior device was completed and installed along with the exterior concrete flat work was completed. For the upcoming month, the balancing of the HVAC system is in process, the interior projection screens and projectors will be installed. Also, the building systems will be tied into the campus.

Etiwanda HS 12 Classroom Building systems such as Fire Alarm and PA were completed and tied into building A. Punch list was created and is currently being completed by the appropriate prime contractors. The elevator equipment was connected and is operational. On the exterior the level 2 deck traffic coating was completed, and the site asphalt was patched back completing the site work. For the upcoming month the building will be going through final start up and commissioning.

Construction management team mobilized and set up construction fence.  Contracts were board approved on 6/13/17.  Demolition began and vegetation was removed.  Underground water and gas are being re-routed from under the new building.

The underground domestic water, fire service and gas have been re-routed and tied back into the existing lines. The over excavation activity has started and will be completed by the end of the month.  Pad certification is complete and electrician and plumbing contractors are preparing to start the building underground early August.

Underground building electrical and plumbing has been installed.  The building footing excavation for building B, D & C has started.  The site signal undergound is 75% complete.  The site sewer north of building B is complete.  The site fire line and storm drain south of building D is complete. Footings for A, B, C D and half of E were excavated, rebar installed and poured.  The first course of masonry is being installed as well as B, C and D.  The elevator pits have been poured.  The stage wall footing have been poured and the walls are being formed.  The under slab work for B is complete and ready for sand and vapor barrier.  Steel column and beams are being fabricated for the middle theater.

The building slab has been poured on A, B, D and some of E.  Walls are 12′ high on building B North side of the corridor.  Walls are 4′ high at every other part of the project.  The stage area wall has been poured and backfilled.  Trades are currently working on underground and slab prep for stage slab on grade.  The remainder of building E footings are being excavated and templates installed.  We are also working around the perimeter for storm drain connections and installing firewater, water and sewer.

The area B walls are at embed elevation.  Area South walls are 12′ high and grouted. Area Northen most walls are 12′ and grouted.  Area Southern most walls are 4′ high and not grouted.  The theater columns, beams and girders are installed.  CMU walls in the theater are beginning to go up.
