During the month of December, rebar welding and concrete placement for door infills were completed on the first floor. Drywall installation was completed in all office areas, and drywall taping and texturing began on the second floor. AC duct insulation was installed on the first floor, while controls and insulation work continued on the second floor. Hanger wires for the wood ceiling were installed, and required fireproofing repairs were completed. Replacement insulation is scheduled for the first week of January to support continued progress on the floating ceiling. In addition, the AV room and added restroom were framed on the second floor, and new electrical equipment was installed.
During the month of November, construction continued at Building D. On the first floor, epoxy dowels and concrete were installed in the trenches, ceiling wire installation began, and HVAC work continued. On the second floor, drywall installation was completed, ceiling wire installation began, and HVAC roof units were set in place.
During the month of October, construction continued at Building D. On the first floor, underground plumbing lines and ductwork were completed, and in-wall electrical work was finished with the exception of speed line changes. On the second floor, in-wall rough-in was completed, and the first side of drywall and insulation was installed. HVAC duct installation is underway, and roof steel installation has been completed.
During the month of September, demolition progressed at Building D. On the first floor, underground plumbing lines were installed, along with overhead fire sprinkler mains and branch lines. Layout for louvers and duct installation was underway; avoiding existing rebar during louver layout required extensive coordination. In-wall electrical work also began. On the second floor, wall framing was completed, and in-wall electrical rough-in reached approximately 90% completion.
During the month of August, work on the punch list for Building M continued concurrently with the relocation of the library to its new space within Building M. The student store and career center also moved into Building M. Once the library vacated its former location in Building D, demolition began and existing conditions were assessed. Partition walls, shelving, ceiling systems, and existing plumbing were removed, and wall scanning and layout activities were initiated.
During the month of June, all drywall finishing in Building M was completed, including the sloped ceilings and light fixtures. The interior scaffold was removed, and all doors and frames were installed. Final painting, flooring, and casework installations began. Restroom partitions were installed, and the installation of toilet accessories is currently in progress.
During the month of May, paint and drywall work in Building M progressed in several areas, continuing onto the higher sections of the space. Restroom tile installation was completed, and the roof rails were installed. Mechanical rough-in work was finished, and the HVAC units were installed and are ready for start-up.
During the month of April, high-ceiling work in Building M progressed, including grid installation and mechanical rough-ins. Drywall around the windows was completed, and painting of high areas began. Exterior door and window frames were installed, and work on insulation and drywall for the workroom walls commenced.
During the month of February, framing activities and in-wall rough-ins in Building M progressed. Ramp footing excavations began, soffit framing in the workroom was completed, and restroom sewer connections were installed.
During the month of January, demolition activities in Building M progressed, and wall framing began. Construction work included the demolition of the slab for a new pony wall in the elevated area, removal of the new roof openings, framing of interior walls, and plumbing, electrical, and mechanical rough-ins for the restrooms.
During the month of December, board approval was received, contracts were executed, and construction activities commenced at Building M. Work performed included the installation of temporary fencing, removal of existing kitchen equipment, safing-off of building utilities, and interior demolition of ceilings and walls. By the end of the month, the stage extension for the new ramp was completed, and the interior scaffold for high-ceiling access was erected.
