Phase 7: The final phase of the project was completed this month. During the month of April, the following work was completed and installed: New fire alarms and devices, the remodel of the restrooms, the final cleaning, the owner’s acceptance walk, and the punchlist and the removal of the temporary fencing around the buildings.
During the month of March, the following work was completed and installed: casework, whiteboards, fabric panels, polished concrete floors, painted the T-bar grid, painted the walls, doors and frames, new fire alarms and devices, ceiling tile, and new hardware.
During the month of February, the following work was completed and installed: Phase 6 owner’s move in, Phase 7 owner’s move out, demolition, layout and demo drywall for new blocking, install blocking, patch back, and finish walls.
During the month of January, the following work was completed and installed: paint T-Bar grid, installed casework, white boards and wall panels, sinks, fire alarm, signage and new hardware.
During the month of November, the following work was completed: New gas turret connections, project screens, napkin and soap dispensers, punch list, final clean, removal of existing Low Voltage devices and removal of acoustical ceilings. Also, student and teachers were able to move into the Building H Labs and Classrooms while moving out of Building T 1st & 2nd floor.
During the month of October, the following work was completed: New signage, electrical finishes, white boards, tack boards, fire extinguisher cabinets, Building T casework, drop ceiling tile, epoxy countertops, and building signage. Also, new student and teacher desks were moved into the classroom.
During the month of September, the following work was completed: Quad shade structures and opening full access to the quad area, concrete rework at ADA ramp area by the pool, demo, backing, rough in plumbing, rough in electrical, drywall patch, tape, and paint in buildings H and T.
During the month of August, the following work was completed: installation of bent plate at building U, installation of concrete at building U, pour quad shade structure footings. In building G, we finalized the casework, construction clean, punch list, and owner move in. Also, the next phase, including building H and T, kicked off with the completion of lock out tag out, demo of interior, install backing.
During the month of July, the fire sprinkler modifications in building T we completed. Around the pool area the pool base material for under the pool deck was installed and compacted. The pool deck formwork, slot drain, pool deck rebar was a completed in preparation to pour the concrete deck are. In building U the old space vent under the building was removed. In the quad area the demo of concrete for the shade shelter structure was completed. The rebar cages for the footing were sent and anchor bolts to receive the share shelters were installed. The white boards, tack boards, electrical, paint, ceiling tile, and signage was completed in this phase.
June kicked off the summer work at Rancho Cucamonga High School. The work completed for the month of June included demo, plumbing rough-in, electrical rough-in, backing, patch back, drywall finish, polished floors, paint, door hardware, building A casework, fire alarm upgrade (Buildings A, D, L, and N), Fire Sprinkler (Buildings G and H), quad demo, install pool shade structure columns, underground rough-in plumbing/electrical, rough grading, pool gates, ADA Ramp demo at pool, and site irrigation reroute.
During the month of May, staff moved out Building G and additional staff moved into Building H. In the building, we shut off utilities for water, waste, electrical, and gas and begain demolition of the interior space. The backing for new cabinets was installed and the patchwork is complete. Perimeter fencing was set for the start of the summer quad work. With the start of summer, fire alarm and site work are also on going. This includes Building L and A fire alarm, quad shade structures, and pool deck replacement.
During the month of April, new ceiling tiles, signage, fire alarm devices, white boards, sinks, and case work were installed. The classrooms were turned over to the District on 5/1/2021. This concludes phase 3 and construction will be transitioning to phase 4 and summer work.
During the month of March, the demolition of existing blocking and backing, install new backing for new cabinets and accessories, drywall patch back, finish walls, paint T-bar, and the polished concrete floors were completed. Some the concrete work out in front of building E and F was also finished.
During the month of February the 2nd phase received final clean, TCC and owner punch list were completed and the teacher’s moved back into their modernized classrooms and next phase of teachers were transitioned out of 3rd Floor G and H. So far for phase 3 safe off was completed and demolition has commenced and will continue into the next month.
During the month of January, the polished concrete flooring was completed in buildings E and F along with the last of the ADA site concrete. Final finishes such as final paint, walk off mats into the classrooms, AV for the teacher stations, salto locks, and baseboard were completed. The team is currently working on completing punch list prior to turning over buildings E and F.
The installations of blocking for Fire Extinguisher cabinets, casework, white boards, and tack boards were completed with flooring to start in December and roll into January. Painting is in progresse. The concrete flatwork upgrades continued with the demo and pour back of the switchback ramp section. The concrete flatwork will continue through the end of the year.
Teacher move-out was completed for buildings E and F this month. Rough-in of Fire Alarm was completed allowing the interior demolition of the 12 classrooms in phase 2 to begin. This will include the demo of flooring, tackboard, and whiteboards etc. After demolition was completed painting of the Level 1 rooms and T-bar began started and will progress through until December. Over thanksgiving break the west ADA site work was completed as to not impact teachers.
October concluded the construction of Buildings B, C, and Q a total of eleven (11) classrooms. This included the installation of Flooring, Door Hardware, and will mark owner acceptance and teacher move in. October is also the start of ADA site work on the West side of the campus between building A and G. Buildings E and F, a total of twelve (12), are scheduled to start demo in early November.
Casework was completed along with tack panel, T-bar, painting, white boards, and ceiling tile. Flooring is scheduled to be completed in October. The rooms have been punched and the contractors are also completing all punch list items at this time. Fire Alarm was completed in the Gym and MPR. All Fire Alarms going forward will be completed per phase. Phase 2 cycle is scheduled to start early November.
In the month of August blocking and backing for finishes were completed along with the painting of T-bar and the installation of casework. Currently crews are working on finishing the tackable wall panel and other wall coverings and trim items. Fire Alarm saw the upgrades of the pool and weight room building along with the start of the fire alarm upgrade on the gym. For the upcoming month, the installation of wall panel will finish along with flooring and ceiling tile.
July marked the start of construction for Rancho Cucamonga High School Modernization, Quad, and Fire Alarm Upgrades. Buildings B, C, and Q a total of eleven (11) classrooms were demoed. This included the demolition of ceiling tile, carpet wall panels, white boards, and fire alarm. Throughout buildings B, C, and Q we have begun installing and testing the new fire alarm system. For the upcoming month, the installation of blocking, and patch back of drywall will take place.
